Air, water and light: all three are necessary ingredients to life. Nowhere can these elements be most appreciated than the ocean’s edge. Light, color, line and texture change by the hour and by the location. The contemplative experience fills the soul and recharges the spirit.
These images were taken along the Oregon coast, in various conditions and at various times of the day, from various locations and vantage points. I wanted to abstract out the basic elements that keep me coming back to the coast year after year. It’s more about the ethereal interaction of these elements than a literal capture of the landscape.
